As an improvement over traditional hard diaphragms, the SafeSEAL Antimicrobial Soft Diaphragm is made from the highly-sensitive, yet durable C-Flex non-latex synthetic elastomer. The non-allergenic, chemically inert soft diaphragm conforms to the diameter of your stethoscope chestpiece to create an airtight seal, similar to that of a drum. It's intended to provide excellent acoustic response while eliminating the patient discomfort associated with "cold touch" during routine auscultation.

SafeSEAL's unique construction is also resistant to ripping or hardening over time. The DRG SafeSEAL Stethoscope Diaphragm is impregnated with an antimicrobial compound, which preserves the integrity of the diaphragm, and thus makes it suppress the growth of bacteria and mold.

The SafeSEAL Antimicrobial Soft Diaphragm is intended for use to minimize surface contamination and facilitate cleaning and disinfection of the stethoscope diaphragm. Standard precautions should be followed, including cleaning of the diaphragms between use.
